OUR TEACHERS
Radha Iveta
Radha is an experienced yoga teacher who completed a 500h+ teacher training in the Hridaya yoga and meditation school in Mexico, where she lived immersed in yogic philosophy and lifestyle for several years.
Since 2014 she has taught internationally and has now made beautiful Hawke's Bay her home base.
Radha has a great passion for the traditional teachings of Yoga and the healing science of Ayurveda and sees the potential they hold to benefit and enrich the life of modern people.
Above all, Radha's personal practice and style of teaching is focused on meditation as a tool of connection to one's self and the Heart of being.
She offers meditative traditional hatha, yin, meditation courses and silent meditation retreats.
Silke Whittaker
Silke is a qualified 200 hr Yoga teacher. Her favourite yoga styles are Yin & slow Hatha flows in combination with her set of 13 Tibetan Singing Bowls.
Silke has been practicing yoga for 15 years and been a qualified teacher for 6 years. She is also a trained Reiki Master, Sound Healer and has studied aromatherapy with teachers overseas.
Silke's teaching style is gentle, slow & mostly hands off, guiding her students verbally to connect with their own bodies and needs. Silke likes to empower her students to intuitively know what is right for them, for their bodies, their energy levels & individual skeletal structures in a safe class environment.
Erleen Oldham
Erleen has been practicing yoga for over 12 years. Wanting to share the benefits she has gained from a regular practice she completed her 200hr yoga teacher training through Jayayoga in 2021, followed by a four month mentorship to complete a year of training and become a Yoga NZ registered teacher.
Erleens focus is on a safe sustainable practice, balancing building strength and flexibility both in the mind and body, on and off the mat. Combining breath, body and the more subtle elements of yoga with knowledge and training in trauma and mental health awareness Erleen aims to offer a complete practice that may offer elements of challenge but is also sensitive to the nervous system.
Mary Brooker
Mary has attended various yoga classes for more than 10 years. To advance her own practice she undertook level 1 Purna Yoga Teacher training in Byron Bay in 2019. Purna means ‘complete’ in Sanskrit, so the training included aspects of all the 8 limbs of yoga. For Mary, teacher training has been a life changing experience facilitating daily self practice. Teaching and sharing this knowledge feels like the natural progression. As a health practitioner she understands the importance of maintaining fitness, flexibility and strength as we get older, and that in todays hectic life, the skills to focus inwardly and relax are invaluable.
Sarah Beale
Sarah teaches with humour, lightness and life wisdom woven into each class and you can be sure that you’ll be supported each step of the way as you learn and practice this ancient art of being.
